I am a protective parent because I live in a world that does NOT have my family's best interest in mind most of the time. That is a fact we all must face. As such, I try to raise my children and husband to be FAITHFUL to the LORD GOD and respect MOTHER NATURE! I am sure many of you can agree with those same ideals. Well, first of all, my family has been saving up for a week-long trip to Disney (In florida) and my brother is kinda mad at me. I have become annoyed with my society. People pay more attention to movie stars and the daily lives of these people than they do scientists and true revolutionaries. The cat was nice enough to pee once in my laundry basket however, after I put in some of my workout clothes to wash. My wife has a bit of an affliction for cats, we have 4 total along with 2 dogs. We've rescued 2 of the 4 since moving into our house 5 years ago. Our pee bandit is one of the original two. My guess is that he might be unhappy with the latest roomate we found in our front yard this winter, but that doesnt explain why he goes after the dogs' beds. Its testing my patience and I need to figure out a way to curb this new habit.

Since a very early age I have been very interested in science and math (more specifically anything with space/astronomy). I have always been intrigued by space and the universe. I have a passion and desire to become a physicist but I am not really sure how I can accomplish this. Currently, I am a freshman in high school and I am taking biology and Algebra 1. This school year is almost over and next year I will be taking Earth Science and Geometry. My mind is a bit over active and most of the time I am thinking. So much that sometimes I find it hard to sleep because I find it hard to clear my mind because I am always thinking about space, time, how the Universe came to be, if there are other dimensions, and many other things. all the other advice already given is great! So take it all in, use that advice! But sometimes you have to come at a horse like that with a different approach. Read up about wild horse behavior. Bring yourself down to her level. Spend time with her by her stall, or where ever you keep her, don't go in with her or anything, just sit by the enclosure and mind your own business. Bring a book or something. Just let her watch you. She may get curious and come and sniff at you. But the key is, let her come to you!! Don't push her when she's not ready to be pushed! She has to know that you aren't a threat to her. Every horse is different. You can't expect all of them to respond the same way. Just show your dad how hard your willing to try to help this horse. You can't just tell him, you have to show him too. Once ur horse trusts you, keep yourself on the same level. Again make urself something that's not threatening to her (for example, move slowly, don't make too much sound, ect). And if you watch her closely, shell tell you how she feels. By the way she stands, where her ears are, her eyes. But don't forget that she is bigger than you, so you still can't let her walk all over u. Can someone beat this game for me in Potropica?

I can't beat it either, but it's a computer problem. The game is supposed to run on high-end graphics, and the aiming is too slow unless your computer is up to par. I should be upgrading a new Windows 7 computer to handle such problems in the future. The other problem with this was the "set off the car alarm" on Wimpy Wonderland. Until you can get the avatar to move/aim faster, it is pretty much a pain.

my hair has been bleached for a while, and i want to dye most of it a dark blonde and leave the bleached streak in the front. yesterday i used a semi-permanent dye to dye it all a dark honey blonde and left the bleached streak. i let it set for 25 minutes, washed and shampooed it out and my hair was BARELY a little more yellow than the platinum i left in front. today i went to get a little darker tone thinking it would work, a light brown and repeated everything.... and its still BARELY any darker. do i need to wait more time??? or use a darker color? i have no idea how this is even happening.

Best way to trouble shoot starter issues...?

I got an old 96 Suzuki Bandit that was having starting issues. Had to work the clutch lever sometimes to get it to start. Cable clutch, not hydrolic. So I thought the problem was in the safety switch in the clutch lever. I jumped that out but it changed nothing. There is no turn over at all. I checked the kickstand and neutral safeties also. Where do I go to now? Starter switch? Battery connection to starter? When it did fire up it was solid, just had to pump the clutch a few times.

Severely enlarged tonsils with no pain?

Me and everybody that knows me have agreed that my tonsils are probably the gnarliest, nastiest looking tonsils they've ever seen. Not pus wise. My left one is pretty in flamed and has signs of yellowish streaks on it. Weird not clumps or balls of food just like yellowish whitish streaks all over the tonsil but its not that noticeable unless i look real closely in the mirror. The left one is not the problem. Although the right is one is so huge that it is literally dipped into my throat probably halfway, well at least thats how it feels. It is one huge puffy not hard but firm tonsil but when it ends on the bottom is another pink colored firm fleshy tonsil looking growth. They are both the exact same size almost and same color texture almost as if it is made of the same tissue/tonsil. But it is one then it gets a little smaller and another tonsil-looking lump hanging from it in to my throat. It doesnt hurt at all ever, not even to swallow. But it does feel like I have something lodged in my throat and it feels irritating to swallow saliva because nothing makes the feeling go away. Eventually it goes away on its own for a little while and comes back. Then sometimes I have trouble breathing through my mouth so it seems. It hurts if I press on it from the outside under my chin on the side under my jaw like on the neck you can feel the right one since it is so inflamed. I cant really see no pus on the right one but the other day I gargled salt water with a few drops of lime juice and I coughed up to little mushy yellow balls. They looked like tonsil stones but when I saw them I immediately squooshed them with my fingers to feel the texture. They easily pulverized into a mashed potato like substance that smelled awful. These were probably tonsil stones, I dont know. But the problem remains the super huge right tonsil. That looks like a pair of testicles almost. Im 17 I used to smoke cigarettes for almost a year, stupid of me ******* myself up so young, came to my senses and stopped. Hopefully the damage hasnt been officially done and its far away from cancer of the throat. But still I want these gone. Ive been prescribed ampicillin, penicillin (oral & injection), amoxicillin, salt & lemon gargles nothing works. I even went to an ancient mexican healer that healed swollen tonsils by "breaking" some nerves in the neck and arm. (last resort) My father was healed that way and never had problems with his tonsils ever again. But it did not work on me. Some doctors recommend a tonsillectomy but honestly i dont want to get rid of my tonsils, not so much because I need them but Im the kind of person that doesnt like something being ripped out of his body unless its a life and death situation. Im thinking of homeopathy. I dont know, what other options do I have?

Don't go for the Fazer just because of a fuel gauge, because most bikes won't have one and it's best not to get into the habit of relying on one. A Honda CBR400, or even an old Honda NSR125 or Aprillia RS125 (they run around 30bhp derestricted) will be a good choice as you won't need to pay for the restricting / de-restricting, and they aren't expensive bikes if you do happen to drop them. They will also be very cheap insurance, cheap to run, and slightly better to ride than a restricted larger bike. The CB500 is also a very easy and forgiving bike to ride if you're looking for for something to last you a couple of years after your initial two, but as said you're going to be paying the price of restriction / de-restriction.

Tough choice between books or telescopes?

If you have not already, I would encourage you to read some of Carl Sagan's books, or even watch his Cosmos tv series (It's all on Hulu). Watching that and reading some of his books, Pale Blue Dot especially, really got me intrigued about the universe and our place in it. I would watch Cosmos and then invest in a good telescope. I'm in just the opposite situation myself; I've recently wanted to delve deeper into philosophy, maybe read some of the classics you mentioned. But yes, Richard Dawkins is great too. He's a biologist, but he has a lot of great books about evolution, religion, and lots of interesting things. But for astronomy, I would strongly suggest Dr. Sagan and a telescope to get you started.

Books for an Atheist?

I recommend the Bhagavad Gita, one of the more important Hindu texts. The recent translation by Stephen Mitchell is pretty good. As for Christianity, perhaps G. K. Chesterton ("Orthodoxy", for instance), although old standbys like St. Augustine and Thomas Aquinas can't hurt. Milton's "Paradise Lost" and Dante's "Inferno" are also interesting and thought-provoking reads, especially the former. If you're looking for confirmation of the nonexistence of God (or at least, confirmation that, if there is a divine being, he isn't benevolent), I second the other answerer's recommendations, because surely a benevolent God wouldn't inflict Stephenie Meyer on the human race.

Good bargain for first time rider -- 2007 Hyosung Gt250r?

I bought a 2007 Hyosung GT250R that I found on craigslist for $1600. I went to look at the bike, and it's immaculate, low miles, well taken care of, and a mp3 radio to boot! Hi Guys, I am using a Toshiba Regza 42" LCD as my monitor for my computer. I have noticed that I had one line that was running vertical starting about a quarter down the screen then going down to the bottom. I figured that it was the same place I had Windows media player in window mode while i was playing wow. But it never went away. Just now I got another one it was horrizontal this time and again the same place where wmp is. Is there any way to get rid of these? You dont have much draw power so you could add one or two pot of dualities, but if you dont want to drop $300 on 2 cards then go with gold sarc. I seem to recall it was the 1980s but it was a long time ago and my memory isn't that sharp. It was shown on the BBC. It was absolutely fantastic and Carl Sagan and Patrick Moore's Sky at Night (to be honest it was mostly Sky at Night) that got me interested in Astronomy. So i'm doing Ariant quests in 2011. I'm trying to finish the quest, "Sand Bandits According to Eleska. I need two Lidiums and to make one Lidium, i need 10 Lidium Ores, so i would need 20 Lidium Ores to make two Lidiums. I have five right now, and i heard from a lot of people that you can get the ores easily by killing Kiyos and Sand Rats. But that was two years ago, so i don't know if the drops changed.. I killed Kiyos for an hour and no Lidium Ores dropped, which is weird.. Then i killed sand rats for approximately 40 minutes, but no lidium ores dropped either. Please someone help me?! I don't want to buy them cause i know they're either too expensive or not a lot of people sell them anymore.

So I've been a pre-med student for my whole undergraduate career, and am due to graduate at the end of this semester. For the past year, however, I've fallen in love with physics. Although Physics I was kind of "meh" Physics II and onward has been fantastic. I've been reading a lot of Brian Greene, Carl Sagan, and Stephen Hawking. It makes me want to become a physicist, because I feel like it's my passion. I feel as if my proverbial bed has been made. All my efforts have been towards medicine and I am going to be going through the application process this summer.
