Is it worth reading Carl Sagan's Cosmos if I've already seen most of the video episodes?

I'm looking for which Carl Sagan book i should read first. Ive seen about half of the video episodes of the cosmos. Are the book and the videos different enough that i should still get the book? If not which Carl Sagan book do you recommend?
